Spent Christmas at this cozy hotel in the Bavarian Alps and loved the stunning views of the snowy peaks from my room's balcony. The food was top-notch, with amazing options for traditional Bavarian cuisine, and fantastic American fare too, just what I needed to celebrate Christmas. Loved all the hiking opportunities right outside the door, with both well-marked trails and groomed paths, great for both beginners and avid hikers. The family-friendly atmosphere gave the perfect festive feel to my holiday.

The rooms could use some TLC. Although the balcony gave breathtaking views, the poorly closing door allowed chilly winds to seep in. The Wi-Fi fee was a bit unnecessary, considering the room rate. Cleanliness happened only every 2 days, which may not work for everyone. The winding, narrow road up to the hotel was quite a challenge for a city driver, especially during winter.
